Description from the seller
Set of 6 salad plates in fine porcelain from the prestigious French manufacturer Pillivuyt.
Located in Berry (the center of France) for 200 years, Pillivuyt is one of the oldest and most prestigious French porcelain brands. From the very beginning, the company has been deeply rooted in local tradition.
The brand bears the name of its founder: Louis Charles Pillivuyt. The company remained family-run from its inception until World War II.
Over the years, Pillivuyt has distinguished itself not only nationally but also internationally. From the United States to Australia, passing through the United Kingdom, Pillivuyt has established itself since 1823 as one of the world leaders in French porcelain. The manufacturer has won five universal exhibitions: 1855 (in Paris), 1862 (in London), 1867 (in Paris), 1878 (in Paris), and 1889 (in Paris).
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Pillivuyt has created some products that have become iconic today, such as the 'Bistrot cup' or the 'Lion Head soup tureen.' Today, master porcelain makers continue to uphold their know-how, which values quality and 100% French craftsmanship. This expertise has enabled Pillivuyt to receive the 'Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant' mark, which distinguishes French companies with authentic know-how.
Some traditional and century-old craftsmanship practices have been preserved, such as artisanal processing.
