Two Maitland Smith vintage lamp shades, circa 1970–1980, made from hand-laid seashells in warm amber, honey and red tones, mounted on non-original bronze-finished metal bases, 20 cm wide and deep and 55 cm high, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Very decorative set of two original Maitland Smith lampshades, crafted from hand-laid natural penn shells in warm amber, honey, and red tones.
The oval shades are made from carefully selected shells in a mosaic pattern. When the lamps are lit, a rich, warm and atmospheric light is produced, characteristic of the luxury design of Maitland Smith. When off, the shades have a deep, dark, glossy appearance.
The lampshades are mounted on non-original metal pedestals in a bronze finish. This makes these lamps unique!
