Vanité Florale – Ossature du Souvenir is a 2026 limited edition fine art giclée on canvas (60 × 60 cm) from France, edition 25, signed in the plate, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
This artwork features a figure at the boundary between the body and the bone, kneeling in a posture of silent contemplation. The bony structure appears partially revealed, as if the flesh were fading away to make space for the essential. Red flowers emerge from the ribcage and disperse into space, symbols of a life persisting at the very heart of finitude.
The contrast between the anatomical rigor of the skeleton and the delicacy of the blue floral motifs evokes a contemporary vanitas, where death is not an end but a passage. The petals suspended suggest memory, the fragile moment, the fleeting beauty one tries to hold onto.
The work is part of a deep reflection on impermanence, transformation, and the poetry of the living, central to the collection’s universe.
