AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

A stunning bi-folio on burnished paper from an Ottoman 'dua kitabi' or book of prayers originating from Turkiye around 1845. It is written in black naskh script and contains islamic supplications (dua). The left folio has 13 lines of prayer, with individual supplications separated by a gold 'Aya' circular division mark. The right folio has 12 lines of prayer, divided by an illuminated gold band or 'Chapter division', in the same manner as those found in the Qur'an.

The left folio is in praise of Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the seven earths, which signify the absolute power, majesty, and vast, encompassing knowledge of Allah, highlighting that creation extends far beyond human perception. Mentioned in the Quran (65:12) and Sunnah, they symbolize the cosmic order, Allah's sovereignty over all creation, and the divine command (revelation) that governs both the heavens and the Earths.

The right folio continues the theme of the left folio down to the chapter division, which process the Prophet Muhammad for the clarity he brings for the call to monotheism (from multiplicity to one faith). The lower portion below the new chapter header starts with the the Basmala which appears at the beginning of every Surah (chapter) in the Qur'an except for the ninth chapter, Surah At-Tawbah seeks Gods prayer for Muhammad and his family and companions and for the readers own family and good fortune.

This is a super bi-folio, rich is symbolism and in great condition.
