Description from the seller
Original unpublished artwork created by contemporary painter Sergio Zampieri (Rome, 1968).
The painting was created in two stages using mixed media techniques, oil and acrylic.
In the first phase, for the basic subject, exclusively oil colors were used to allow a perfect fusion of the shapes starting from a dark background of Prussian blue and phthalo green and continuing with the addition of other lighter shades such as light blue, primary blue and turquoise.
Once the oils had dried, the final decoration was applied using acrylic pastes in iridescent colours: yellow gold, pure gold, bronze and pearl white.
The final effect, as seen in the photographs, is the result of a highly material work in iridescence, with a play of light and shadow that shapes itself depending on the position of the light source.
The work is archived and permanently visible on the artist's official website
www.sergiozampieri.it where you can find further information regarding his artistic journey.
