Description from the seller
Title: Fragmented Face #17
Series: Geometries of the Self
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
This painting features a female face built from a clear and deliberate geometric language, where fragmentation does not break harmony but redefines it. The face appears divided into color planes that coexist like pieces of an emotional mosaic: deep blues, intense reds, warm yellows, and muted greens create a vibrant and modern balance.
Symmetry is only apparent. Each half of the face seems to tell a different story: one eye more introspective, the other more alert; a play of shadows and blocks that suggests duality, contrast, and inner complexity. The hair, braided and stylized, frames the figure like an almost architectural element, lending rhythm and visual continuity.
The shapes are clean, the outlines defined, and the use of color is flat but expressive, evoking influences of cubism and modern art, without losing a contemporary sensibility. The result is a portrait that does not seek realism, but emotion: an identity built from fragments, balance, and visual strength.
The canvas is carefully rolled up and securely packaged in a sturdy square tube for shipment.
The images you are seeing now are examples of how the artwork can look when it is framed and hung on a wall.
