Grzegorz Pawłowski’s monumental steel sculpture GORT, hand-formed through welding and grinding, is a 1/1 edition from 2025, measuring 191 cm high, 66 cm wide and 30 cm deep, signed GP.
Description from the seller
A monumental contemporary sculpture handmade from steel, depicting a bust of a human figure. The form balances between industrial aesthetics and a subtle, almost organic texture of the surface.
The sculpture was created from several thousand metal nuts, each individually hand-formed, welded, and then ground. A prolonged, fully manual creative process gives the object a distinctive texture and a sense of internal tension — as if the form were in a constant state of transformation.
Visible weld seams, perforations, and intentionally left “scars” are an integral part of the composition and emphasize the narrative of fragility, strength, and traces of experience. The absence of facial features makes the figure anonymous and universal, allowing the viewer their own interpretation.
A minimalist steel pedestal strengthens the architectural character of the sculpture and emphasizes its vertical scale. The overall height of the work is approximately 191 cm, which makes the sculpture a central display object for modern interiors, galleries, hotels, representative spaces, or private collections. This is a unique work (1/1).
Every work created in this studio is 100% original, crafted with passion and attention to detail, and their distinctive style has gained recognition among collectors worldwide. Sculptures by Grzegorz Pawłowski are part of private collections in countries including the USA, Australia, Singapore, and many European nations.
