This work stands out for its compositional delicacy and a handling of color that conveys deep, introspective peace. The central figure, rendered with impeccable realism, seems to inhabit a space of absolute stillness, inviting the viewer to a moment of personal reflection. The warmth of the skin tones and the softness of the light transitions give a sense of intimacy and harmony, turning the piece into a visual refuge. It is a work that celebrates the subtle beauty of the everyday and human vulnerability, connecting with the viewer through an elegant aesthetic and a positive, serene emotional charge.
This painting is part of my project "Violence Unnoticed," a visual arts investigation into the violence exercised against the spirit and which, due to its subtlety, often goes unnoticed. The project starts from the premise that every human and social relationship contains traces of violence as a basic form of communication. I am especially interested in that "invisible violence": the one that speaks sotto voce, the one we accept as legitimate or the one we do not detect, but that ends up modifying our behavior and our construction of the world. Through these images, I seek to point out that almost inaudible "unease" that accompanies us constantly, becoming the silent seamstress of our own identity.
The work is in perfect condition and measures [Insert Height] x [Insert Width] cm. My work is supported by a solid professional track record, having been awarded the First Prize in the Pinto City Painting Prize, the First Prize in Antonio López Painting, and selected for the 40th BMW Painting Prize. Furthermore, my artistic practice has developed internationally thanks to the Art Valley ICCI Shanghai Fellowship, my residency as a fellow at the Yu Hsiu Museum in Taiwan, and at Tinglado Gráfico in Oaxaca, Mexico.
