Description from the seller
The Work
- Interface (2025). Mixed media on panel with a stretcher. 100x100x4 cm. On the panel a scrap of canvas has been attached, stapled.
- Interface frames the face as a surface of exchange: a place where the human and the structural meet without merging. The face appears treated as a plane, chromatically fragmented and delineated by an artificial, almost technical contour that separates it from the dark background.
Geometry and construction lines run through the work as if they were layers of information, schemes or coordinates trying to translate identity into a rational language. Yet the face remains mute: the empty eyes and the restrained expression underscore the impossibility of a complete reading.
The work functions as an intermediate space —an interface— between the visible and the hidden, between data and emotion, inviting the viewer to question the mechanisms by which we perceive, interpret, and represent what is human in contemporary times.
- Hand-signed by the artist on the painting and on the back.
- One-off edition.
- Piece from a new collection.
- The work is shipped without being disassembled.
