Description from the seller
Individual and Community XIV
Nacho Vergara, 1990
60 x 73 x 3 cm
Oil paint and marker on canvas.
Signed on the back, with certificate of authenticity; it is shipped mounted on the frame, framed.
This work presents a composition of extraordinary visual clarity, where nature and geometry converge in a silent dialogue. The image shows a series of perfectly defined parallel planes, formed by a flock of birds skimming a sky of a diaphanous and luminous blue. The subtlety of the clouds on the right edge adds an organic softness that contrasts starkly with the structural rigidity of the avian formation. It is a piece that evokes a sense of absolute order and technical serenity, drawing the viewer's eye to the rhythmic repetition of its shapes.
My work is supported by a solid professional track record, having been awarded the First Prize in Painting Ciudad de Pinto, the First Prize in Painting Antonio López, and selected for the 40th BMW Painting Prize. Likewise, my artistic practice has developed internationally thanks to the Art Valley ICCI Shanghai Fellowship, my residency as a fellow at the Yu Hsiu Museum in Taiwan and at Tinglado Gráfico in Oaxaca, Mexico.
