Majolica ceramic potpourri vase in the Capodimonte-inspired Italian tradition, dating to the 1950s, 55 cm high with a 25 cm width and depth, weighing 2 kg, featuring hand-formed fruits and flowers and a pierced lattice lid, attributed to V. Pozza of Nove/Bassano workshops in Italy.

AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Magnificent potpourri vase, crafted in the historic style of the 18th century.
The three-dimensional fruits and fine floral painting are typical of this classic look.
It is a high-quality ceramic (majolica), made in the Capodimonte style.
It is attributed to the V. Pozza manufactory from Nove and, more generally, to the Bassano workshops in Italy.
The fruits and flowers were individually hand-formed.
The elaborate appliqués (apples, pears and the artichoke as a finial) are an excellent example of Italian art pottery from the mid-20th century.
The lid is pierced (lattice work) and thus ideal for fragrant blooms.
A genuine one-of-a-kind piece and a rare collectible in this state of preservation and size.

This vase will be shipped extremely securely and double-padded. Due to its impressive size of 55 cm and the delicate hand craftsmanship, I prefer on-site pickup in Düsseldorf. Insured shipping is, of course, available.
