Description from the seller
This collectible Swatch Automatic wristwatch represents Swatch’s long-standing relationship with the Olympic Games and its distinctive approach to Olympic heritage through design.
The dial features a reference to the Stockholm 1912 Olympic Games, one of the most iconic early editions of the modern Olympics. This reference is used as a historical homage, highlighting the legacy and tradition of the Olympic movement rather than indicating the production date.
The strap is marked “Official Timekeeper and Partner of the Centennial Olympic Games – Atlanta 1996”, confirming Swatch’s official role during the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. This inscription reflects the watch’s production era and Swatch’s official Olympic partnership.
This combination is intentional and characteristic of Swatch’s 1990s design philosophy, where
historical Olympic references on the dial
are paired with contemporary Olympic licensing and partnership details on the strap.
The watch is powered by an automatic (mechanical) movement and is in perfect working condition. The movement has been inspected and runs smoothly with stable timekeeping. The transparent case back allows the automatic movement to be viewed. The dial is signed Swatch AG 1994.
Dimensions
• Case diameter: 36 mm
The cosmetic condition is as shown in the photographs, with only minor signs of wear consistent with age and no major defects.
A strong example for collectors of Olympic memorabilia and 1990s Swatch automatic watches.
