Description
A magnificent and imposing table lamp in the neoclassical style (also known as French Regency), dating from the 1940s–1950s. This lamp is a textbook example of French craftsmanship, made of heavy, solid brass with a total weight of no less than 3.9 kg.
Design and Details: The lamp features an elegant vase-shaped stem that rests on a sturdy, square pedestal. The base is equipped with the characteristic "ball feet" (bolpoten), which give the lamp a stately appearance. The double socket at the top is fitted with the original brass pull chains, allowing the two light sources to be operated independently of each other.
Condition: The lamp is in very good vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic patina on the brass. The original pagoda-shaped shade is still present and provides a warm, atmospheric light. The wiring is functional and the lamp is ready for use.
