MARIO ILLUSI "MILLUS"
Millus is the pseudonym of Mario Illusi, an artist from Livorno born in 1925 and who died in 1992.
Like all artists from the Livorno area, Millus' pictorial production was predominantly landscape-based.
In the pictorial production of the artist Millus, strongly influenced by the Macchiaioli and post-Macchiaioli tradition, the description of the landscape sees the perfect union between descriptive realism and an impressionistic rendering of the sensitive data.
