Description from the seller
In "Flor de Plata" I set the scene in a garden understood not as decorative landscape, but as a living territory where the pictorial gesture takes the lead. The vegetation is not described, but evoked through layers, transparencies, and movements that build an organic space in permanent vibration. I paint the garden as a moving experience, a place where the natural manifests itself from emotion and not from literal form. In that context, the gesture functions as language: it is the trace of time, the pulse, and the energy that runs through the work.
The flower therefore emerges as an act of affirmation. I call it “Flor de Plata” because it embodies the idea of what is valuable, of something that shines without imposing itself, yet inevitably stands out. Its verticality makes it almost a sword: firm, silent, resilient. It is a metaphor for singularity, for staying upright amid the density and movement of the surrounding environment. For me, this flower represents the ability to stand out without losing delicacy, to be unique without breaking the harmony of the whole. In that tension between fragility and strength lies the symbolic meaning of the work: a reflection on identity, inner resilience, and the value of remaining true to oneself within the changing flow of life.
