Grzegorz Pawłowski presents GoR, a steel sculpture of an anatomically detailed skull with a full beard, mounted on a recycled metal spine fragment, 22 cm wide, 46 cm high and 23 cm deep, signed GP, edition 3/10, dated 2025, in perfect condition and from Poland.
Description from the seller
The subject of the auction is an exceptional skull sculpture with exact anatomical dimensions, featuring a full beard, mounted on an artistically reconstructed fragment of the spine made from metal sourced from recycled material and scrap. Each element of this work is hand-formed, welded and ground, giving the sculpture a unique character.
The sculpture is utilitarian – it can function as a classic statuette, while also serving as a stand for hats, helmets, headphones, glasses, and even small accessories—exactly as its owner wishes. Its presence in the space brings not only aesthetics but also practicality and a unique artistic energy.
The creator of this work is Grzegorz Pawłowski, founder and artist of the Custom Art Garage brand – a workshop known for its handmade metal sculptures, which are in private collections around the world, from Australia, through Singapore, the United States, to many European countries.
The skull bristle was created from hundreds of hand-formed and welded wires, forming a structure full of detail and depth. Each fragment of metal bears the marks of human hands — welding, grinding, and shaping — through which the sculpture becomes a fusion of raw material strength, finesse of detail, and artistic sensibility.
It's not just a decorative object — it's a manifesto of passion, creativity, and artistic independence that can become a unique central focal point in any space.
