Description from the seller
Decorative ewer in Empire style – Napoleonic III era (late 19th century).
Impressive decorative ewer in ribbed molded glass, mounted on an elegant gilt regulator-style frame. It features its facets-cut glass stopper and a zoomorphic handle depicting a serpent, typical of the Neoclassical decorative repertoire.
The base bears the stamped mark 'De Italie', attesting to Italian manufacture at the end of the 19th century.
A refined decorative object, of fine quality, ideal for a classic interior or a Napoléon III-style mounted glassware collection.
Good overall condition for its age. A small, discreet impact under the base to report, non-penetrating, with no crack or visible chip in appearance, not affecting the object's stability or aesthetics.
Light wear to the gilding, consistent with age. Glass intact, stopper present; see the photos – they are part of the description.
