This distinctive megaphone with a clear DB stamp is a rugged object from the time when railway staff worked without electronics. The metal cylinder has a powerful shape and a deep red lacquer finish that immediately betrays its authentic use.
The megaphone was used by the Deutsche Bundesbahn, probably in the period 1950–1970, for switching/shunting work, communication on platforms, and emergencies. The handle is firmly pressed into the metal, and the housing has the typical sturdiness of railway equipment from that era.
A beautiful industrial object for collectors of railway memorabilia, decorators, or lovers of rugged vintage items. Ready to display or as a striking centerpiece in a room.
