Rare and exceptionally decorative antique cast-iron coat rack, richly crafted with two symmetrical winged putti/angels bearing a laurel wreath. A distinctly romantic and classical design that immediately brings to mind the late 19th or early 20th century, made in heavy cast iron with an original polychrome finish. The coat rack, however, was made in the second half of the 20th century.

The coat rack has several sturdily formed hooks and is not only functional, but above all a real eye-catcher. The detailing of the angels, the expressive faces, the wings and the wreath attest to a high level of craftsmanship. Beautiful for a stately hall, boutique, mansion, or as a striking wall piece in a classic or eclectic interior.
