Original acrylic painting by BLACH (Maxime Blachère), titled New York Orange Sky, 60 x 40 cm, created in 2023, hand-signed with a certificate of authenticity on a photograph printed on canvas, depicting urban architecture in a mixed-media graffiti style.
Description from the seller
"New York Orange Sky" is an original creation by BLACH (Maxime Blachère), made entirely by hand on a printed photograph, and not through digital processing or Photoshop.
Urban photography of New York serves as the backdrop for a direct artistic intervention, where every drawing, every graffiti tag, and every symbol was drawn by hand, using markers, paints, acrylic markers, and pastels, in a mixed technique unique to the artist.
The iconic New York skyline, dominated by the Empire State Building, is transformed into a reinvented, vibrant, and expressive city. The buildings become surfaces of free expression, covered with tags, graphic signs, and stylized characters, creating a strong dialogue between architecture, graffiti art, and pop art.
The work is rooted in a Fluxus approach, where the boundaries between photography, painting, and street art disappear. BLACH does not simply represent the city: he reinterpret[s] it, vandalizes it poetically, and reveals its raw, creative, and chaotic energy.
