Description from the seller
Beautiful wristwatch "Eberhard & Co" from the 1930s with a large case, impressive for its era. The dial is signed and shows a patina developed over the past 100 years. It is hard to believe that this watch is almost 100 years old and still in excellent condition. The hands are blued steel and pair very well with the Arabic numerals for the hour markers.
Dimensions: 33 x 26 mm
Weight 27 g
The case design is truly fascinating for the mix of shapes that evoke the infamous Cartier Dumont and those floral engravings and blue enamel, a beautiful blend of military style and Art Deco. High-quality movement inside, it has a lovely system for opening and closing gently. This case system has proven effective at protecting the movement from dust and moisture over the years.
Moreover the movement of the watch is very beautiful, with an anchor escapement. The quality of the case is very good; there aren’t many watches in 18-karat solid gold produced in the 1930s. The case is stamped with a punch, the original crown is very elegant and of high quality as is the rest of the watch. Original strap 18mm.
