Description from the seller
Title of the work: "Hope"
Technique: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 90 x 70 cm
Year: 2022
Signed: Yes
Original artwork characterized by a powerful gestural expression and an evocative use of color. The canvas is dominated by energetic strokes in blue and green tones, creating a dynamic and almost three-dimensional interweaving. In the upper left emerges a surprising figurative element: a barely sketched landscape, almost dreamlike, with a stylized tree and rose-colored rocks, which stands out as a dreamlike vision amid the abstraction.
The composition evokes informal art and abstract expressionism, but it preserves a meditative balance between chaos and form. The contrast between the material density and the delicacy of the landscape makes this work particularly evocative.
Conditions: In excellent condition, with certificate of authenticity, ready to be displayed.
Shipping: Tracked shipment and professional packaging
Francesco Galletti
Francesco Galletti prepared his debut through rigorous academic training and careful study of the great masters of contemporary art and the most illustrious representatives of American Abstract Expressionism. Following the guidance of these restless and powerful patron saints, he developed the main tool of his art: the mark. It is a strong, swirling, syncopated, and insistently applied mark, by which the artist creates an incandescent chromatic magma where the scanning of surfaces, through bold slashes of paint, forms an organic and multipolar field of forces. The artist has tested his ability to orchestrate this spontaneous language within the linear boundary of a possible pictorial frame, triggering a secret movement born from the formal tensions of his painting. In the large canvases the creative impulse finds room to organize itself into new systems, where the brushstroke becomes a generative element of possible architectures that press on the viewer’s eye with the sharpness of angles, serpentine and broken lines. In other episodes the artist experiments with integration, arriving at softer and more “painterly” compositions, revealing a flexible creativity rich in possibilities. He has also developed a group of graphic works that allow us a close look at Galletti’s laboratory of signs. On the surface of the plate, the artist concentrates his inventive vein, transforming the line into a dynamic body with strong plastic characterizations. It almost seems that the artist has instilled a spark of perpetual motion into these swirling spirals in which the eye lingers on the pleasing dynamic effects. Across broad and varied chromatic fields, Galletti’s signs wage avant-garde battles, retreating or ascending into vortex-like dances where the mark threatens to overwhelm even the limits of the work. The gestural tension here finds the method of expressive engineering that continually decomposes space and makes forms clash in a tension without continuity.
