Description from the seller

Hidden Desire – EA01

Collector's edition – 1/3 + 2 AP (artist proofs)
Format: 30x40 cm | sheet: 40 x 50 cm
Signed and stamped on the back

The body unfolds in absolute restraint.
The face disappears, deliberately removed from view, leaving space entirely for the form, for the skin, and for the quiet tension that runs through the image.

Nothing is shown head-on. The desire is there, but contained, buried, almost sacred.
This absence of gaze transforms the body into a mental territory: a presence rather than an identity, a sensation rather than a narrative.

Hidden Desire explores that precise moment when emotion has not yet found its language.
A work where sensuality arises from what is hidden, and not from what is offered.

Collector's Edition — Alonso Fine Art

Limited series: 1/3 + 2 units
Format: image [30x40 cm] × sheet [40x50 cm]
Paper: Fine Art Litho Archiv Matte 290g (museum quality)
Ink: pigment-based (museum quality)
Signed and stamped on the back (Artist & Atelier Alonso)
Secure shipping Colissimo — frame not included

Creative process

Each artwork comes to life through a hybrid process that combines photography, digital composition, and plastic arts work, where the final image is conceived as autonomous visual writing, independent of any literal reference.

Seller's Story

Frank G. Alonso (Havana, 1972) is a Cuban-Spanish artist based in Arles. Trained in Madrid at the Higher School of Communication, Image and Sound (CEV) and at Metrópolis film school, he began his career as an assistant director and cameraman, collaborating with major figures in European cinema. In the early 2000s, he worked alongside Bertrand Fèvre (César 1989 for Chet’s Romance), Pedro Almodóvar (Talk to Her), and José Luis García Sánchez (The Green March). These experiences deeply shape his perception of the frame, silence, and rhythm — a cinematic imprint that he will carry throughout his entire visual approach. Since 2019, he has been directing the Atelier Alonso in Arles, a space dedicated to Fine Art printing and contemporary creation, where he produces his own works and supports other artists in their projects. His prints, signed and numbered by hand, are produced according to museum standards in a limited and certified edition. The universe of Frank G. Alonso explores the metaphysical aspect of the body and time through a visual language where light becomes speech and beauty, a form of silence. His works are part of private collections around the world — notably in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Greece, and Portugal.
