In this volume, the images and documents, almost all unpublished, are used to compose a biography of Dino Buzzati, a writer and journalist, a painter and poet, from his birth to his death.

Numerous reproductions—in half-page, full-page, and two-page spreads—in black and white and in color—of handwritten texts, diary pages, letters, documents, photographs, newspaper articles, and drawings that depict Buzzati's life, his familiar places, his work, and his oeuvre.
Editorial cover with a tissue-paper dust jacket, titles in black on the front board and on the spine, untrimmed pages with deckle edges, rigid slipcase.
Limited edition of 1,200 numbered copies, exemplar No. 447.
Printed in quarto on handmade paper by the Ferdinando Amatruda Paper Mill of Amalfi, under the technical direction of Giorgio Monti from the Umberto Seregni typography of Paderno Dugnano.

The only defect of this specimen is the editorial case with a split at the bottom and at the top, as shown in the images.
