Trevisan Carlo, Tacchi rossi, an original oil on canvas artwork from 2024, hand-signed, 19 x 19 cm, 100 g, with pop culture surrealism, produced in Italy and sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
In this work titled "Red Heels," Trevisan explores the more glamorous and feminine side of his magical realism, transforming a fashion fetish object into an unusual vase brimming with plant life.
The painting foregrounds a red high-heeled shoe with a dizzying stiletto heel, in which, instead of a foot, three red tulips with long green stems bloom.
The red shoe, rendered with a glossy finish that highlights its sensuality and elegance, is a symbol of femininity and power. Trevisan attends to its light reflections to make it almost tangible, transforming it into a design object suspended in time.
The tulips that emerge from the shoe create a delicate contrast between the rigidity of the artificial form and the softness of nature. It is a metaphor of walking 'in beauty', suggesting that every step may leave behind a seed of grace.
Despite the thin heel, the composition conveys a sense of perfect stability. The shoe rests on an invisible base, against the classic blue sky streaked with white, fluffy clouds that characterize the artist's style.
The choice of a monochromatic palette for the subjects (the shoe and the petals) unifies the image into an explosion of passion and vitality, making the work magnetically compelling to the observer.
In 'Red Heels', Trevisan strips the accessory of its practical function to elevate it into a poetic sculpture. It is a work that speaks of seduction, nature, and the capacity of art to find the marvelous in the wardrobe of everyday life.
Oil painting on canvas mounted with a white passe-partout, 24 x 24 cm, and a faisite panel.
