Krishna statue - Bronze - India - 19th century

Indian bronze sculpture depicting the Hindu deity Krishna, more precisely in the form known as Venugopala (Krishna playing the flute).

The figure is depicted standing in a graceful pose, with legs crossed, known as tribhanga.
It is cast in bronze, a common material for this type of devotional figures.
The hands are positioned as if to hold a flute, which is characteristic of the Venugopala form, although the actual flute is absent in this sculpture.
