Ferry Slebe was a pupil at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In 1951, Ferry Slebe joined the painters' group Verve, whose aims were to cultivate more fantasy and imagination—in short, more verve.

The establishment of Verve can be regarded as The Hague's answer to Cobra. The canvases of Ferry Slebe are colorful, and the works convey a relaxed mood. He considered himself a self-taught artist. The artist's work is housed in the Haags Gemeentemuseum.

Mixed media in good condition, visible size 20.5 x 26 cm. Includes the still original frame that was later fitted with museum glass, in good condition with small signs of wear and aging; this is also supplied free of charge with the artwork.
