Painted with a brisk brushstroke, a kitten against a background of people who are celebrating. Original work by the Dutch-Danish artist Borgen Lindhardt.
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Maastricht (1996). Uses Borgen Lindhardt as a signature name and is known for her 'kimono series,' inspired by the work of G.H. Breitner. Creates oil paintings where old masters are combined with personal elements (cat, painting supplies, and fantasy figures) to form a new spectacle. Her style is characterized by a visible thick brushstroke. She shifts from detailed, imaginative, and playful work to fluid, sketch-like paintings.
