Description from the seller
“Memoria de la forma” explores the tension between the stable and the mutable, where forms seem to support one another in an equilibrium that belongs neither to the past nor to the future, but to the present moment. The volumes intertwine like thoughts seeking order within the continuous flow of experience.
The geometry, far from being rigid, becomes organic; the solid curves, the structural element breathes. Each block is at once a support and a load, reflecting the human condition: we construct meaning as we are constructed by it.
The earthy, warm palette suggests a mineral memory, as if the form emerged from layers of sedimented time. There is not a single center, but multiple axes of meaning, inviting the viewer to traverse the work as one traverses a memory: without a clear beginning, without a definitive ending.
In its visual language, echoes of Constructivism and Synthetic Cubism resonate, but purified of all violent fragmentation: here form does not break, it folds. There is also an affinity with Jean Arp's organic abstraction and with certain “impossible” architectures of late O’Keeffe and sculptural modernism, where mass acquires almost bodily qualities. Yet the work does not quote; it assimilates. It turns the geometric inheritance of the 20th century into a contemporary poetics of interdependence. Structures do not dominate space: they negotiate with it, revealing that all stability is provisional and that every form, even the most solid, is also a gesture of transit.
About MUMA
