Nelson is a 2024 carbon steel anamorphic sculpture by Filippo P. Castrovinci, signed on the plate and by hand, in a limited edition of 50 copies with a certificate of authenticity, measuring 52 cm high, 43 cm wide and 17 cm deep, originating from Italy.
Description from the seller
Sculpture: "Nelson" (2024)
Original work by Filippo Pietro Castrovinci, signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
'Nelson' is an anamorphic sculpture dedicated to Nelson Mandela, a universal symbol of freedom and resilience.
The work transforms steel into a language of light and perspective; only from a precise point of view does the image take shape, revealing Mandela's face as an apparition emerging from the silence of the metal—a tribute to the strength of vision, patience, and hope that withstands time.
Material: Carbon steel
Finish: Satin black
Dimensions: H 52 x L 43 x P 17 cm
Limited Edition: Copies No. / 50
Packaging and Shipping
The work is carefully packed in an anonymous triple-wall cardboard box, with custom internal protections to ensure maximum safety. Tracked shipping is provided through reliable national and international couriers.
Note:
“Nelson” was born from a research path in anamorphism, where matter and perception merge in a visual dialogue. Through a clever interplay of balances and distortions, the sculpture invites the viewer to change their point of view, a metaphor for Mandela's thought, according to which freedom and justice are achieved only by learning to look beyond.
