Cavalier bleu (XXL) is an original mixed-media on linen canvas by Jone Hopper, hand-signed, 107 × 140 cm, France, created in 2020 or later, sold with frame and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
- Rolled delivery in a tube, without a chassis -
- Large format 107 x 140 cm (Approximately 90 x 130 cm when the canvas is mounted on a frame by the buyer's care)
Unique piece with certificate of authenticity.
Original artwork on linen canvas without a frame.
- Mixed media
Born in 1977, Jone Hopper is a French artist.
In the late 1980s, he honed his skills on the streets through an emerging movement at the time: graffiti. He tagged his name on streets, walls, and trains. Known for his characters and spray-painted signatures, he created the TBS (The Brutal Style) collective with Skepa and a few other committed graffiti artists. We know little about him because the artist remains true to the spirit of graffiti and wishes to remain anonymous, believing that the work should be highlighted, not the person. Nonexistent on social media, absent from gallery openings, a faceless artist, he remains a true mystery except to a few gallery owners in the know. He compares his painting to a Hip Hop track; he acts like a sampler... sampling, cutting, assembling, and thus creating new images.
Mixed techniques: aerosol, oil pastel, and acrylic on canvas.
