Description from the seller
Painting realized in 2025 on a 40x60 canvas using natural powdered pigments and charcoal. In this work I explore the expressive force of the mark, combining the depth of charcoal with the delicacy of natural pigments. Earthy and organic nuances create an intense and immediate atmosphere, in which the matter seems to breathe on the surface. The 50 x 70 cm format allows a gathered view, inviting the observer to approach to grasp the details of textures and the gradations of black. The charcoal, with its sharp contrasts and soft shadows, engages in dialogue with the natural tones, generating a continuous tension between light and shadow, control and spontaneity. The choice of simple and ancient materials, worked with a contemporary language, reflects my personal path, building my research outside academic channels. Despite autonomous training, I have participated in group exhibitions and my works have also found resonance abroad, with pieces already sold in several European countries. I was born in 1971 and I have always had a passion for colors; my education arose from daily observation, improvised canvases in the garage at home and nights spent experimenting with oils, acrylics and various materials. This work can be read as an invitation to slow down the gaze: every mark, every grain of pigment and every area of visual silence contribute to an inner narrative that the observer is called to complete with their own experience. The work will be shipped signed and without a frame, equipped with a certificate of authenticity and perfectly packaged. The colors may differ slightly from the photo due to lighting settings.
