Description from the seller
Enamelled copper bowls – 3 pieces
Description
A set of three hand-made enamel objects on copper, dating from the 20th century, probably the 1950s, is being offered.
All the pieces are enameled on a copper ground, partly with multi-layer enamels, flowing enamel, splashes and crystal-like effects. The works show a strong affinity with studio enameling and with postwar experimental artisanal craft.
The lot brings together functional objects and decorative studio pieces and is suitable for both collectors of enamel art and interiors in mid-century, Brutalist, or Studio Craft styles.
The bowls show some glaze chipping as a result of the passage of time. (SEE PHOTO)
The small bowl is a candle holder.
