Description from the seller

AMBER BOHEMIAN CRYSTAL VASE WITH AMETHYST CORE – HEAVY HANDMADE ART GLASS
Height: 36 cm | Weight: approx. 3.7 kg
This impressive vase is crafted from massive amber Bohemian crystal with a striking amethyst-colored inner core, distinguished by its substantial weight, flowing sculptural form, and powerful optical depth. The warm amber exterior beautifully envelops the deep violet amethyst core, which gradually transitions into a clear, solid base, creating a dramatic interplay of light, color layers, and inner glow.
The vase was hand-shaped directly from molten glass using a blowpipe, without molds. Every curve, fold, and contour was formed entirely by hand, making each piece a true one-of-a-kind object with its own character, balance, and presence. The result is not merely a decorative item, but a sculptural glass object with strong artistic impact.
This piece originates from the traditional production of the renowned Czech glassworks Egermann, based in Nový Bor – the historic heart of Bohemian glassmaking. The Egermann glassworks proudly carried the legacy of Fridrich Egermann (1777–1864), one of the most influential figures in Czech glass history and the inventor of the famous Egermann overlay (Lasur) technique that made Bohemian glass world-famous.
For generations, Egermann stood for precision craftsmanship, artistic integrity, and prestige, producing glass objects admired and collected worldwide. Today, authentic hot-worked Egermann glass of this kind is becoming increasingly rare, as this traditional form of production has come to an end.
