Silver-Plated Wine Bottle Holder / Basket – “Rubans Croisés” Pattern – Carmen, Belgium – ca. 1930–1940

Elegant silver-plated wine bottle holder or serving basket, crafted by Carmen, a Belgian silver-plated house active during the interwar period.

This refined piece is executed in the classic “rubans croisés” (cross-ribbon / croisillons) pattern, a decorative motif strongly associated with late Art Nouveau and early Art Deco tableware. The flowing lines and openwork structure combine functionality with sculptural elegance.

The holder is designed to present and serve a standard wine bottle in a stylish and stable manner, making it an attractive center piece for a dining table or sideboard.
