Description from the seller
Regarding the size of the painting: The image prepared for hanging is 42.5 x 42.5 cm. The painted, visible area is 24 x 24 cm. The painting is painted on canvas and mounted behind a high-quality mat. The silver frame is made of wood.
I traveled to Paris and walked to the Eiffel Tower. On the way back, I saw this view of the beautiful old stone bridge Le pont d' Léna. The sky had begun to turn purple, and the mood of the people there was joyful and relaxed.
I painted this small painting with oil paint on canvas. The canvas is mounted in a silver wooden picture frame with a mat.
The bridge symbolizes connection and movement, while the light captures the magical moment between day and night. It radiates a calm energy that fills every home with a peaceful, almost magical mood.
About me as an artist:
My passion lies in painting with oil paints, as it brings a great deal of light and vitality. I paint modern subjects using a technique that is inspired by that of the old Dutch masters. I paint both urban motifs and the sea.
I perceive my surroundings and turn them into art.
I was born in 1960 in Hamburg, and after two semesters at the University of Applied Sciences for Design I switched to training and work in the social sector. Today I work both as a painter and as a social worker.
I have spent my entire life painting with different media, and since 2004 with oil paint. In 2011 I began to exhibit as well. I am currently painting in a studio in Altona, on Ruhrstraße.
