Detailed description:
A superb pair of matching antique wooden frames, with moulded wood, richly carved and gilded with gold leaf (old gilding with a beautiful patina from time).
These frames feature a very elegant and distinctive vegetal decoration: a continuous frieze of grape leaves, grape clusters, and interlaced floral scrolls, in a neoclassical/Rococo style inspired by Louis XV, revisited in the Napoleonic III era (the second half of the 19th century or the very early 20th century, around 1880–1910).

Internals (sight / flush / rebate) : 59 × 45 cm each

Condition: Good overall for pieces about 100-140 years old. Old gilding with natural wear, patina, small flakes, and signs of time usage (see photos carefully).
