Santa Cecilia (2nd–3rd century) is a noble Roman woman, a virgin and Christian martyr, venerated as the patroness of music, musicians, and singers. Her liturgical memory is celebrated on November 22. Known for her unwavering faith, tradition tells that she sang in her heart to God during the wedding. The Basilica of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere in Rome stands where she is believed to have lived. Painted with the presence of light period expressions (see photo), within a lacquered frame from the same era, with small lacquering flaws, overall dimensions 57x74 cm, the painting itself is 35x53 cm. Due to current regulations, it cannot be shipped outside the European Union.
