Mrs.Cilinder - Cyber Whiskers

“Cyber Whiskers” is an impressive painting that fuses the cool aesthetics of cyberpunk with a warm, almost intimate portrait scene. The work depicts a confident female figure, technologically augmented by a headset and a metallic, gleaming armor that protectively cradles a cat in her arms.

The contrast is the centerpiece of this image: On one side the sleek, hard surfaces of chrome and technology, on the other the soft, organic fur of the cat. About the artist: I am Zofia Fischer, known as Mrs. Cilinder. Born in Poland and living in Germany for almost 30 years, art is my medium for telling stories. My works, often executed in acrylic, move between realism and fantasy. With 'Cyber Whiskers' I wanted to project the relationship between humans and animals into a possible future. The challenge lay in credibly rendering the hardness of metal and the softness of fur with the same acrylic technique.
