In this painting with a textured, material base, the artist drew numerous colored bands, shaded, that weave and overlap into a harmonious whole, all with soothing tones such as red, ochre yellow, and white. Just as the Artist imagined them, they should give the viewer the sensation of facing a cocktail, like 'Affinity' composed of Whisky/Dry Martini, Martini Rosso, and orange bitters.

Paolo Contin has a long artistic career. He trained in the world of design and has been working in the fields of fashion and art since 1980. In 1999, he began exhibiting his works; in 2002, he held his first solo show in Padua, followed by many exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including Copenhagen, Monaco, Paris, Brussels, Istanbul, Buenos Aires, and Sydney.
