Corso Leonello presents Eclissi materica, an original 2026 mixed media painting in gesso and acrylic on canvas in abstract expressionism, signed by hand, 60 by 80 cm, 4 kg, from Italy, new from the artist’s studio, unframed with a 3.5 cm profile, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Description from the seller
The work presents itself as a fascinating visual narrative of deep space, where mastery in the use of modeling clay gives the composition a sculptural character. The artist, Corso Leonello, creates a strong tactile and visual contrast between the two celestial bodies protagonists:
The satellite: On the left, a portion of the Moon or a planet emerges with an extremely realistic cratered texture. The use of the material texture allows light to break over the protrusions, simulating the irregular surface of a rocky body. The orange shading along the edge suggests a grazing light reflection, lending the scene volumetric depth.
The star: In the lower right, a sun or a pulsing star is rendered with warm, vibrant colors. The material technique here becomes more dynamic and frayed, evoking the solar protuberances and the kinetic energy of heat.
The background is a deep, dense black, enhanced by meticulous stippling and splatter work that recreates an infinite firmament of stars and distant galaxies.
The entire surface has been treated with a glossy professional varnish that not only protects the pigments over time, but also enhances their saturation and brilliance, making the blacks even deeper and the metallic/acrylic colors more vivid.
The 3.5 cm frame allows displaying the artwork unframed, offering a modern, floating look on the wall.
The artwork is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist, guaranteeing the originality and the value of the investment.
New, straight from the artist's studio.
The artwork will be packed with the utmost care and shipped via express courier with a tracking number to ensure its integrity during transport.
