Epoque - ‘China’s way to India’

Rare lot of 3 vintage original large-format photographs, taken in 1962 by the Epoque Agency of London, part of a feature titled 'China's route to the Indian plans', focused on the border areas between China and India during the Sino-Indian War of 1962, probably a Daily Mail feature.
The images document the territory and the Monba population in northeastern India, at a time when it was almost inaccessible to the Western press.

View of Dirang Dzong, capital of the Monba
Panoramic view of the Dirang Valley.
A daily-life scene of the Monba near Nyukmadung.
The photographs were published in 1963 by a famous Italian magazine.
Original stamps and typewritten captions on the back.
Good overall condition, size 255x205 mm.
