Corso Leonello's original Pensieri stratificati (2026) is an abstract expressionist work in gesso and acrylic, 80 by 60 cm, hand-signed, in excellent condition, made in Italy, with an official certificate, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
The work presents itself as an elegant visual architecture based on the overlap and interlocking of plastic modules. The color choice of Corso Leonello abandons here the bright contrasts to retreat into a refined palette of neutral tones: cream, taupe, and black coexist in a chromatic balance that recalls the elements of the earth and the geological stratification of human thought.
The strength of the work lies in its sculptural component. The use of modeling plaster, applied with precise and repeated gestures, creates a three-dimensional texture in “scales” or “petals” that gives the canvas a body and a commanding physical presence. Each layer represents a fragment of memory or an idea that rests on the previous one, fully justifying the title of the series.
Despite the rigor of the grid, the arrangement of the shades is not static. The alternation of dark and light tones creates an undulating movement that traverses the canvas, while the professional gloss varnish reflects ambient light, making the reliefs and the shadows produced by the plaster stand out.
The glossy varnish not only protects the artwork from dust and UV rays, but also seals the material structure, preserving the integrity of the modeling plaster over time.
The artwork comes with an official certificate signed by the artist Corso Leonello, certifying its originality, date of creation, and the exclusivity of the manual technique.
The shipment is handled with professional standards, using packaging specifically designed for works with pronounced material relief. The service includes full tracking (tracking) to monitor the artwork’s journey to its final destination.
