Description from the seller

Elegant theatrical poster dedicated to Pierre Meyer, created based on a graphic design by Paul Colin, one of the leading figures of French poster art between the wars.

Dimensions: 59 x 42 cm

The composition is highly stylized: the male figure in a dark suit emerges with great formal refinement, accompanied by clean lines and a vibrant red diagonal that accentuates dynamism and theatricality, in full Art Deco style.

Please note: this edition is later than the original, probably from the 1970s.

The work faithfully reprises the famous manifesto originally printed in Paris in 1930 at the H. Chachoin workshop, maintaining the graphic layout, typography, and visual impact typical of Paul Colin's language. It is a decorative reprint of good quality, ideal for collectors, enthusiasts of French advertising graphics, theater, dance, and Art Deco.

A manifesto of great elegance and stage presence, perfect for furnishing modern or vintage spaces, professional studios, galleries, or collections dedicated to illustration of the early 20th century.

Overall good condition, with minor signs of aging and handling consistent with the edition's age.
Item sold as shown in the photos.
