Description from the seller

Winter has frozen this place, but the black crosses continue to watch.
Against the snow-covered bottom of this abandoned pool, the swimming lanes become graves, as if each lane told of a disappearance. The silence is total. The diving board, suspended above the void, seems to await a jump that will never come.
Nature has reclaimed the place; the fallen leaves rest where the water once beat. The Crosses of Water is a meditation on time, memory, and forgotten spaces.

Words of the artist

I’m still trying to capture the moment when a place stops serving any purpose... but still tells the whole story.
In this abandoned pool, the snow has drawn a scene that is almost sacred. It is no longer a place for sport; it is an altar.
These crosses struck me. They weren’t there for that, but they say it all. I simply waited for the right silence, and I photographed it.
That's it, my job: to catch the sacred in the mundane…
