Ch. Dauwe - Statue, Madonna met Kind - 37 cm - Plaster

Very fine and atmospheric religious statue depicting the Madonna with Child, signed “Ch. Dauwe”. The statue is richly worked with refined ornamentation in the mantle, a crowned Madonna and a subtly depicted Christ Child. The presence of the rosary and the detailed textile decorations emphasize the devotional character.

The style aligns with the Neo-Gothic / Neo-Baroque tradition of late-19th and early-20th-century religious sculpture, produced mainly in Belgium and Northern France for both ecclesiastical and private use.
