The author is the Pistoian scholar Nicola Villani (1590–1630), who publishes under the pseudonym Vincenzo Foresi and in this work takes a stance regarding Adone, discussing it with balance and good taste. Good copy, substantially fresh and in order. Time marks are insignificant. Contemporary binding in full parchment. Faded manuscript title on the spine and repeated at the lower edge. Ancient ownership mark on the flyleaf.
