Queen Elizabeth – Pink Majesty by Pythia reinterprets the iconic figure of Queen Elizabeth II in a pop and contemporary style. The bust, entirely painted in a bright and glossy pink, transforms regal austerity into a gesture of sweetness and modernity, accentuated by the golden crown that shines like a small urban diadem. Sketches and gold drips cross the shoulders and bust, like luminous veins telling the long history of the British monarchy and the discreet elegance of the sovereign.
The meeting of pink and gold creates a refined balance: on one side, proximity to pop culture and contemporary culture; on the other, a reference to power, tradition, and the sense of responsibility that marked the entire reign of Elizabeth II. Artist's biography
Pythia is the daughter of Etna and the sea. After traveling through Italy and breathing in the essence of Tuscan art, she returns to her homeland to give voice to her vision.
