AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

This painting on paper work by JonOne vibrates with a rare graphic intensity, where graffiti becomes an instinctive and sensory language. The orange, yellow, and green colors intertwine powerfully, projected like bursts of energy onto the matte surface of the support.

Each stroke springs forth with force, translating the artist's immediate gesture, captured in all its tension and spontaneity.
White spots punctuate the composition, providing visual breathing space amidst this perfectly controlled chromatic tumult.
Here, JonOne favors the intensity of movement, the saturation of pigments and the collision of colors in a constant dialogue.

Unique work 1/1, available immediately at the gallery at 16 place des Vosges 75004 Paris.
Issued with an invoice and a certificate of authenticity from the artist.

XVI Art Gallery will package and ship it directly to your home, both in France and abroad. Alternatively, you can pick it up immediately at our gallery in Paris.

JonOne Biography:

John Andrew Perello, better known as JonOne, is a graffiti artist and painter of Dominican origin.
He was born in New York in the 1960s and grew up in the vibrant Harlem neighborhood.
At the age of seventeen, he began tagging trains and walls in his neighborhood, marking his debut in graffiti.
Self-taught, he then moved towards a new medium: canvas.

Little by little, he moved from the street to galleries, and his works are now exhibited all over the world.
His creations are deeply influenced by his personal journey, steeped in hip-hop, urban culture and the New York subway.
Furthermore, he also draws on the codes of modern painting to enrich his visual language.

His style, both instinctive and thoughtful, goes beyond the classic rules of graffiti and street art.
He claims total freedom in the act of creation.
Thus, he developed a “freestyle” painting, freed from any formal or narrative constraints.

In 1987, JonOne moved to Paris.
This change marks a decisive turning point.
There he met various artists, such as Speedy Graphito and LAII, which further broadened his artistic universe.
From then on, he devoted himself fully to conquering the web.

In his works, space is saturated. Emptiness does not exist.
Color becomes a vital energy. Its rich and contrasting palette expresses subtle plays of light and matter.
The shapes, sometimes undulating, sometimes straight, intersect in a spontaneous but balanced composition.

His paintings combine symmetry and disorder, repetition and unity, rigor and fluidity.
Each painting is an abstract, joyful improvisation, where everything seems alive and in motion.

JonOne quickly made a name for himself in the Parisian artistic community.
It appeals to both critics and collectors.
Today, his fame extends far beyond specialist circles, with his numerous collaborations with major brands such as Lacoste, Hennessy, Air France, and Perrier.
