Keeping the Other Side Out - Hand signed is a unique 40 × 40 cm acrylic and mixed media on canvas by MEDSAN, signed on the front and back in 2024, with pop culture imagery and a certified authenticity, shipped from France without a frame.
Description from the seller
Original work created with acrylic paint, Posca markers, and spray paint. Signed Medsan, an artist known for his subversions of cultural icons and his pop compositions with strong narrative resonance.
Medsan is inspired by the imagery of the Stranger Things series and by the graphic energy of Keith Haring; this work features a central red figure, suspended in a gesture of concentration and resistance. The character seems to channel an invisible force, pushing back an unstable and moving peripheral world. Around this figure, stylized white silhouettes — human, animal and floral — writhe, vibrate and swirl, evoking mental chaos, external pressure or a parallel reality. The contrast between the controlled posture of the central figure and the agitation around him reinforces the idea of inner struggle, psychic control and contained power. The graphic style, direct and rhythmic, pays homage to Keith Haring’s aesthetic through the use of thick lines, symbolic shapes and a visually legible language, while placing it in a contemporary narrative drawn from current pop culture. The reference to Stranger Things is found in this figure of a child endowed with an inner power, isolated in the face of forces beyond him. This work functions as a modern icon, between narrative art, pop culture and contemporary symbolism. It speaks to both figurative art enthusiasts and collectors sensitive to strong cultural references and to assertive graphic universes.

An artists' studio bringing together around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a genuine site of artistic production, the studio operates both as a space for collective creation and for individual approaches, depending on the projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo pursues a more instinctive approach, blending abstract art, outsider art and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created and supervised within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist."}
